To share a little about myself:

To introduce myself: Margo Juarez was born and raised in South Omaha and is a proud graduate of Omaha South High School. Her parents were very humble people; her mother was primarily a homemaker, and her father worked in the packing house industry through her high school years.

Margo earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she was a Goodrich scholarship recipient. (She likes to think Senator Glenn Goodrich, for whom the scholarship was named, would be proud of her decision to run for the legislature!) A strong advocate for transparency in government, Margo worked for both the Social Security administration and the Internal Revenue Service before retiring.

The mother of two children and four grandchildren, Margo has been a passionate community volunteer and supporter of education. Margo was appointed to the Omaha Public School Board in 2021 and reelected to serve in 2022.

Margo believes in strong neighborhoods and will continue her advocacy at the state level. She participates in the South Omaha Neighborhood Alliance (SONA).
